Dan Barker & Piano Recital

On March 26, 2022, The Store hosted our first piano recital! The recital participants were all students of Dan Barker, who has been teaching piano for nineteen years. Dan has over thirty students ranging from as young as four years old to seventy-six years young! He spends anywhere from forty to fifty hours a week teaching, as well as practicing his own piano skills a few hours a day. Dan graduated from Lagrange College with a B.A. in Music emphasizing in piano performance and composition and has also studied jazz.

Dan Barker plays with two local bands; Vectralux and Warm in the Wake. Vectralux produced their first album and vinyl recently, which he is very excited about! He has played with a cover band entitled Boys in the Band in Fort Payne and Nashville. Dan has opened for many different artists such as Willie Nelson, Drive By Truckers, Lynnard Skynnard, and Paris Luna.

The recital went so well, and every performer did such an amazing job! Special thanks to Dan Barker for allowing us to host a recital at The Store. Thank you to all the parents and families who came to support the performers!
